It’s finally the day we leave for the cruise. The drive to Cocoa Beach was a long one. The kids were really good until the last hour and by then we all needed to be out of the car! We arrived at the Marriott Residence Inn at about 9:30 PM. We unloaded the car and then went and bought some snacks and sodas for the kids and a bottle of vino for Teresa and me. We went to bed shortly thereafter and everyone slept hard.
Friday April 2nd.
It’s a beautiful morning with not a cloud in the sky and it is supposed to be 86 today. It is very warm already. The hotel has breakfast and it was nice. We sat out by the pool and ate then went for a drive to see where we were. The Radisson where we are going to meet Debbie shortly is only 2 blocks away. We can see the Grandeur of the Seas docked from our hotel. We spent about an hour in a 24 hour Ron Jon shop that was huge and had load of things to look at. It was amazing how many people were in there so early in the morning! We came back to the hotel and the kids swam until we went to get lunch. Debbie called and her plane has landed and she is waiting for her ride. Everyone is excited now that we will be getting on the ship in the morning. Our hotel is less than a mile from Port Canaveral. We picked up Debbie and the group that was supposed to meet at the Tiki Bar at the Radisson never showed so we came back to our hotel and the kids swam and we watched. We went over near the port to a restaurant there called Rusty's Seafood and Oysters and had dinner and then went to the beach to see the ocean. By then it was dark and the air had gotten cool. We are back now and trying to get everything ready to board the ship in the morning. We will get up early have breakfast here and head to the port. I will give you an update on Easter as we probably won't be able to get internet until Sunday. Happy Easter everyone!
